ABOUT THE MOVEMENT.

Pamplona Worldwide is a creative collective and brand founded by MarcTheBull, dedicated to fostering positive change through music, art, and community. What started as a vision to connect artists has evolved into a worldwide movement that spans multiple cities and continents. The mission is simple: create platforms where emerging and established artists can showcase their craft, connect with their community, and build sustainable careers in music. Pamplona Worldwide operates across multiple event series, with Raps & Things being the flagship hip-hop showcase in Pittsburgh. Beyond events, Pamplona Worldwide is committed to artist development, mentorship, and creating opportunities for the next generation of creative talent.
Raps & Things emerged from a simple belief: Pittsburgh's hip-hop community deserves a stage that celebrates authenticity, talent, and community. What began as intimate cipher sessions has grown into a monthly showcase featuring some of the Steel City's most exciting artists. Every event is carefully curated—no algorithms, no gatekeeping, just genuine music and real connection. Each Raps & Things event brings together performers, producers, DJs, and fans who share a passion for hip-hop culture. The series has become a proving ground for new talent and a gathering place for the Pittsburgh music community. From Poetry Lounge to Club Cafe Live, Raps & Things continues to evolve while staying true to its roots: celebrating the artists and the community that make Pittsburgh's hip-hop scene special.
Pittsburgh has a rich and evolving hip-hop culture that often flies under the national radar. The Steel City's sound is characterized by gritty production, introspective lyricism, and a strong sense of community pride. The city's hip-hop heritage runs deep, with roots in the underground and a thriving DIY ethos. Today, Pittsburgh's scene is experiencing a renaissance, with a new generation of artists pushing boundaries and gaining national attention. What makes Pittsburgh unique is the collaborative spirit of its artists. Rather than competing, the community lifts each other up. Cyphers, open mics, and events like Raps & Things create spaces where artists of all levels can grow together. The Steel City's hip-hop community is defined by authenticity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the craft. It's a scene built on real connections and real music—exactly what Raps & Things celebrates.
At Raps & Things and Pamplona Worldwide, artist development is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every artist deserves support, mentorship, and opportunity—regardless of where they're starting from. Our approach includes: **Performance Opportunities** - Regular stages where artists can build their live presence and connect with audiences. **Community Feedback** - Constructive critiques and support from peers and experienced industry professionals. **Networking** - Connections with producers, engineers, promoters, and other artists to collaborate and grow. **Resources & Knowledge** - Tips on production, marketing, performance, and navigating the music industry. **Paid Opportunities** - We pay our artists. Fair compensation for performances and contributions to the community. The goal is simple: help artists develop their craft, build their fanbase, and create sustainable careers in music. Your success is our success.
**Age & Venue Requirements** Most Raps & Things events are 21+ and held at various venues across Pittsburgh. Check individual event details for specifics. **Performance Format** Sets typically range from 10–45 minutes depending on the lineup. We'll discuss specifics when we reach out after your submission is accepted. **Sound & Technical** Venues provide basic sound support.
